Effective Date

January 6th, 2025: These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of the content writing services (Services) provided by Marianne de Kuijper ("I", "me", or "my"). By engaging in my Services, you (Client or you) agree to comply with these Terms.

Name Clarification

For the purpose of clarity, please note that my official name on my passport is ‘Marianne de Kuijper’, but I am known professionally as ‘Marianne de Kuyper’. All contracts and legal matters will refer to me as "Marianne Kuijper" in accordance with official documents.

You acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions by using my services.

Summary of Key Terms

Services Provided

  • I offer content writing services for websites, blogs and social media. This includes content strategy, writing, SEO optimization and more.

Scope of Work

  • I’ll develop an initial content concept (approx. 4 hours of work).

  • Once I’ve shared the initial concept, you’ll have the chance to review it and decide if the direction works for you.

  • You can review, approve, or request changes before I move forward with full content creation.

  • Timely feedback is required, as delays from your side may push back the project timeline, but payments are still due on time.

Payments

The concept fee is included within the price estimate for the 60/40 payment structure.

  • A non-refundable fee of €99 is required to book the Initial Consultation (Discovery Call).

  • A non-refundable fee of €480 is required for the Initial Concept Development phase.

  • To begin work, a non-refundable deposit of 60% of the estimated project cost is required.

  • The remaining 40%, also non-refundable, is due one month after the project started.

  • Upon completion of the project, a final invoice will be issued based on the actual hours worked. Since we provide an estimated price, the final cost may vary depending on the scope of work.

  • Payments are due within 5 days of receiving the receipt, regardless of delays in receiving feedback.

  • If extra work or revisions are requested after the project is considered complete, they will be billed separately at an hourly rate.

Important Payment Notice
Please be advised that any overdue payments will result in a suspension of work until the outstanding amount is received. Additionally, if there are unpaid invoices during or after the completion of the project, the website will be taken offline until the full payment has been made.

Ownership

  • Upon full payment, you will own all content I deliver, but the website transfer will only happen once all outstanding bills are paid.

  • I reserve the right to take the website offline if bills are overdue. After 2 reminders, the website will be taken offline until full payment is made.

Content Delivery & Storage

  • Content will be uploaded to Google Drive and you will have 2 months to download it.

  • If you need content re-uploaded after this period, additional charges will apply.

  • I do not store client work for more than 1 year after project completion.

Revisions & Additional Work

  • Major changes after content is finalized will result in additional fees.

  • Any new requests outside the original scope will be quoted separately and billed at my hourly rate.

Liability & Use of Content

  • I aim for high-quality content, but cannot guarantee specific results (like better search rankings or more social media engagement).

  • You are responsible for how the content is used, and I am not liable for any damages or legal issues that arise from using it.

Client Responsibilities

  • You must provide all necessary information and access to platforms on time to avoid delays.

  • Delays in your input may push back the project timeline, but payments are still due on the agreed schedule.

Liability Protection

You agree to protect me from any legal claims, damages, or issues that arise from the use of the content I create for you.

Cancellation

Either of us can end the agreement if the other breaches the terms, but you’ll still need to pay for any work already completed.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law, and any legal disputes will be resolved in the Netherlands.

Changes to Terms

I may update or change these terms at any time, and will notify you of any updates.
